- Maserati Celebrates 110 Years With An Electric Grand Tourer
2024 is the year of Maserati’s 110th-anniversary celebrations. The company has decided to honour this important year in the history of Italian and world motoring with a special series of GranTurismo. The "110 Anniversario" model, which is based on the electric Folgore version, comes in 110 configurable pieces with two different colour options.
Maserati was founded on December 1, 1914, and began with race cars thanks to the ingenuity of the five Maserati brothers. The A6 1500 was the company's first road automobile, introduced in 1946. Today, Maserati honors its past while embracing the future with this electric-powered anniversary model.
The Folgore version, which came in two configurations of 55 units each, was the starting point for the specific 110th anniversary version of the GranTurismo. It was enhanced with two unique body colours, Ramae Folgore and Blu Inchiostro, along with special finishes, wheels with "black and copper" details, and interiors that were either Econyl denim or black with copper or blue stitching.
That's not all, though. The Trident and the number "110" are shown on the car's C-pillar in distinctive angled letters as part of a new commemorative emblem designed by the House of Trident.
The same emblem will be applied to another vehicle that holds significant value for Maserati: the Tipo Folgore electric single-seater, which is scheduled to compete in the opening race of Season 11 of the premier all-electric series, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, in São Paulo, Brazil, on December 7. The single-seater will take to the track with the new blue and rose gold livery embellished with the 110 tribute logo beside the cockpit.
The 2018 Maserati GranTurismo 110 Anniversario will be unveiled to the Italian brand's most privileged customers at the Trident Experience, a two-day event hosted by the company to commemorate this significant anniversary with its most devoted guests and customers.
