- The Land Rover Defender Dakar D7X-R Rallies With Bell & Ross
The manic Land Rover Dakar D7X-R rally raid machine just gained a matching timepiece for its pilots courtesy of partners Bell & Ross.

Remember the Land Rover Defender Dakar D7X-R we reported on recently? Well, said manic rally raid machine fielded by the factory-backed entries for this year's Dakar Rally event just gained a stylishly functional matching timepiece from Bell & Ross too.
The renowned French aviation-themed watchmaker recently announced its partnership as official time partner of Land Rover for this year’s Dakar Rally. Said tie-up also extends into the marque’s competition entry in the World Rally-Raid Championship – W2RC.
“The Dakar Rally is a symbol of boldness, exploration, and pushing beyond one’s limits—values that lie at the very heart of Bell & Ross’ DNA,” expressed Carlos Rosillo, the watchmaker’s co-founder and CEO.
Said timepiece supplied to drivers and co-drivers is the Bell & Ross BR-X3 Black Titanium.

With this partnership, drivers and co-drivers piloting the manic Land Rover Defender Dakar D7X-R - which is based on the road-going Land Rover Defender Octa special - are now each armed with the Bell & Ross BR-X3 Black Titanium timepiece on their wrists.
Debuting back in Sept 2025, said timepiece stands as a high-performance evolution of the B&R marque’s signature classic – the aviation-inspired BR-03. However, there’s an experimental twist – hence the ‘X’ in its designation.
This edition based on the BR-03 adopts a square-shaped 41 MM case constructed out of Grade 5 titanium, making it both exceptionally strong and lightweight. The dial face rocks a signature X-shaped design with a 3 o’clock date window and 9 o’clock power gauge.

Based on the signature BR-03 , this special dons an 'experimental' redux to its 41 MM dial constructed using lightweight and strong Grade 5 titanium. It also boasts a COSC-certified chronograph function.

Whilst on the dial stills, both the numerals and markers are filled with Super-LumiNova. In turn, this ensures high legibility and visual experience akin to what high-flying aviators see in the cockpit – particularly the sight of aircraft instrumentations.
Underneath, the BR-X3 Black Titanium is powered using the watchmaker’s BR-Cal.323 automatic movement. Co-produced with Kenissi, it runs at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. It also boasts a 70-hour power reserve and COSC-certified chronograph function.
Overall, it’s plain to see how the Bell & Ross BR-X3 Black Titanium stands as fitting timepiece for the Defender Dakar D7X-R which, if you remember, also boasts a special “Flight Mode” function for when it tackles sand dunes and crests.
Keen prospects and avid collectors can acquire the Bell & Ross BR-X3 Black Titanium now, which is listed at RM37,500 apiece.

For avid fans with the means seeking to own a slice of this historic partnership between two icons, then good news – the BR-X3 Black Titanium detailed is now available for purchase through Bell & Ross boutiques and authorised retailers.
Locally, the Bell & Ross BR-X3 Black Titanium as detailed is listed at RM37,500. Yes, that’s a pricey figure for a watch indeed, but this is one special edition borne out of world of motorsports that we reckon anyone can appreciate.
