- Launched: 2025 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe CKD – RM728K
The all-new Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe breaks cover as Porsche Malaysia’s second-ever CKD model.
Porsche Malaysia, represented by Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP), has launched the second locally-assembled (CKD) variant of its flagship SUV model, the Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe. This hybrid coupe SUV was initially assembled for export to Thailand and is now available for our market, with prices starting from RM728,000.
Based on the facelifted, third-gen (E3) Cayenne, the local-spec Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe uses Porsche’s proprietary plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain setup comprising a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine and a new electric motor. Combined, this PHEV setup delivers a total system output of 519 PS and 750 NM, allowing a rapid century sprint time of only 4.7 seconds, en route to its limited V-max of 263 KM/H.
Juicing the PHEV setup is a sizable 25.9-kWh battery pack that grants the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe with up to 90 KM, making it perfect for daily commutes within Malaysian cities.
Besides the improved PHEV setup, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe CKD also benefits from the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system that features two-chamber, two-valve air suspensions, promising to provide decent driving dynamics without compromising on stability and comfort.
The aesthetic equipment list is also not too shabby for the locally-assembled Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe, with the sporty SUV coming standard with things such as the HD matrix LED headlights, a slew of gloss black and silver accents, as well as the 20-inch Cayenne S Design wheels finished in Vesuvius Grey.
On board, this sporty coupe SUV now comes standard with Porsche’s Sport Chrono package that includes the Porsche Design clock, plus a GT Sports steering wheel. Creature comforts like the 14-way power-adjustable front seats wrapped in Black or Bordeaux Red leather upholstery with the Porsche crest on the headrests, a four-zone climate control system with a built-in air ioniser, and electric roll-up sun blinds are also primed here.
Not to forget, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe CKD is also brimmed with tech amenities, including the 12.3-inch central infotainment display, a new 12.6-inch curved digital metre display, optional infotainment screens for the rear passengers, a premium Bose sound system, and an improved ADAS suite that adds new functions like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and ParkAssist with Surround View, to name a few.
“Since establishing our local assembly facility in Malaysia in 2022, Porsche has reached several key milestones that highlight the importance of this market. In just one year, more than 1,000 locally assembled Cayennes have been delivered to Malaysian customers, a clear indication of the strong demand and the trust placed in the Porsche brand,” said Mr. Christopher Hunter, CEO of SDAP.
“In 2024, we marked another significant achievement with the launch of the first regionally assembled Cayenne for Thailand, reinforcing our commitment to becoming a strong assembly partner to Porsche in this region. Building on this momentum, we are excited to launch a second model, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe, in Malaysia for our customers,” Mr. Hunter continued.
The all-new 2025 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe CKD is now available for booking in Malaysia, with prices starting from RM728,000 excluding options and insurance. Interested parties can learn more about this sporty coupe SUV by contacting any Porsche Centres nearby or visiting Porsche Malaysia’s official website.
