Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will be adding four Electric Train Service (ETS) trains to its schedule between March 28 and April 6 in order to meet the increased travel demand expected for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festival.

Two of the additional trains will run on the KL Sentral-Padang Besar-KL Sentral route, and the other two will operate on the KL Sentral-Butterworth-KL Sentral line, according to a statement released by KTMB.

“This move is to meet the high demand since existing tickets for the ETS have been sold out,” it said. The extra ETS trains will provide 1,260 seats per day, including business class seats, during their operating time, for a total of 12,600 seats to accommodate the increasing passenger demand. The extra ETS tickets will be available for purchase today, March 4, starting at 10 am.

Tickets can be purchased via cashless payment via the KTM Mobile (KITS) app, the official KTMB website (www.ktmb.com.my), or KTMB kiosks. For further information, the public can call the KTMB Call Centre at 03-9779 1200 or visit the KTMB's official social media pages.
