PLUS Activates Smartlane At 28 Locations For Aidilfitri

In anticipation of the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations, PLUS has announced the activation of Smartlanes at 28 designated locations along the North-South Highway, which extends from Johor in the southern region to Kedah in the northern region. Drivers will be alerted of an upcoming Smartlane by signs placed 500 meters and 1 kilometer before its start. Additionally, an electronic mobile signboard with a flashing green light will be positioned directly before the activation point to indicate the start of the Smartlane.

Drivers in the dedicated lane must maintain a 60 km/h speed limit and remain in the lane until it ends, as indicated by the "Tamat" sign, typically located 200 meters ahead. At the lane's end, drivers should continue into the merging lane, and vehicles in the leftmost conventional lane must yield to merging traffic. Please keep in mind that using highway emergency lanes outside of the designated 28 SmartLane zones is an infraction. Drive safe, stay alert and Selamat Hari Raya!
