In response to the Putra Heights gas pipe line fire on April 1, Tan Chong Motor Holdings Berhad (TCMH) and Warisan TC Holdings Berhad (WTCH) have launched an immediate relief initiative to support affected residents.

Both companies together promise to deploy at least 30 units of vehicles - Nissan, GAC Motor and Renault combined under a vehicle loan programme.

This program, just like the ones from other brands we had announced before, will be exclusively handled by the Selangor State Exco and is aimed to provide essential month long mobility assistance to the impacted families.

According to Daniel Ho, Group CEO of TCMH, “It is disheartening to witness the extent of impact and damage to the residents, especially during this festive period. We hope that our support can help affected residents get back to their daily lives and ease any mobility disruptions.”

TCMH and WTCH remain steadfast in their commitment to supporting the Putra Heights community, continuing their collaboration with government agencies and local authorities to provide further assistance where necessary.

Residents in need of immediate aid are encouraged to contact the Selangor State Executive Council’s office at +60 16-412 2721 (Jen).

With Tan Chong’s latest contribution of 30 vehicles, the total number of cars deployed to assist victims now stands at 242, including contributions from Chery (50), Carro (30), Carsome (50), GoCar (20) and DRB-Hicom (EON) (62).

Additionally Proton and Chery also contributed RM250,000 and RM50,000 each in cash aid.
