JPJ Aidiladha 2025 Special Op – June 4 to 10, Nine Major Offences
JPJ’s Hari Raya Aidiladha 2025 special operation will take place from June 4 to 10, focusing on nine major offences.
The Malaysian Road & Transport Department (JPJ) has announced it will implement a special ‘Operasi Khas Hari Raya Aidiladha 2025’ for the upcoming Aidiladha festive period. Taking place from June 4 to 10, 2025, this special operation is part of its efforts to reduce traffic accidents throughout the festive season, focusing on nine major offences.
According to JPJ’s official statement, this operation will be implemented nationwide, where several key enforcement strategies will be implemented to monitor, detect, and take action against road users who break road laws. This includes monitoring and auditing bus operations at depots and terminals, inspections on commercial and heavy vehicles, and other technical checks.
As for the major offences that the department will be focusing on, all nine of them are listed under the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333), including driving above the speed limit, disobeying traffic lights, overtaking in a double-lined zone, abusing the emergency lane, disobeying road lines, using a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a seat belt or a helmet, driving a heavy commercial vehicle in the overtaking lane, and overloading a vehicle.
This festive season special op, just like its other previous iterations, is part of the JPJ’s long-term aim to reduce the rate of deaths and injuries due to accidents by at least 50% by the end of this decade.
The department also advised members of the public to report any traffic-related offences by using the MyJPJ mobile app or, alternatively, emailing them directly at [email protected].
