- Next-Gen Xpeng P7 Images Unveiled Ahead of Q3 2025 Debut
Xpeng has published rendered images of its upcoming next-gen P7 EV saloon ahead of its debut later in Q3 2025.
Xpeng has announced today that the next-gen P7 is coming soon, accompanied by several rendered photos of the upcoming EV saloon. Announced via its official Weibo page, the new P7 is slated to make its global debut sometime in the third quarter of 2025, featuring tons of new tech and a radical design shift over the current model.
Internally known as the E29, the rendered images of the new P7 prototype showcase a sleek four-door grand coupe saloon that features a departure in design. Designed by Rafik Ferrag, who formerly worked on the previous-gen P7, the new P7 gets a more radical front face featuring Y-shaped LED DRLs, while its rakish rear windscreen makes the saloon look more like a fastback.
The same Y-shaped LED lights can also be seen at the rear, and there’s also a retractable rear spoiler at the back. Other key design highlights include flush door handles, physical side mirrors, a full panoramic glass roof, sporty rear bumper accents, and new 8-spoke wheels, to name a few.
As of now, Xpeng has yet to publish any interior photos of the new P7, but we can expect this sporty EV saloon to get a pretty high-tech cabin, featuring tons of premium and luxury amenities. More importantly, we can also expect its infotainment setup to feature Xpeng’s latest Xmart OS 2.0, which now supports improved voice controls and an augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD).
Not to forget, the new P7 may also feature a vision-based advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), possibly powered by Xpeng’s next-generation Turing AI chip. Unlike current Xpeng models, the new P7 could rely solely on cameras for environmental sensing instead of utilising LiDARs and external radar sensors.
Also not confirmed are the powertrain and battery specs for the new P7, but CarNewsChina reports this sleek EV saloon will adopt the brand’s new Kunpeng EV platform, featuring some key improvements over the current P7. For reference, the current Xpeng P7 offers up to 467 HP (382 kW) of total system output in its top-spec dual-motor AWD version, while its CLTC range is capped at up to 702 km.
As mentioned earlier, the all-new, next-gen Xpeng P7 is expected to make its global debut sometime later in Q3 this year, possibly at the upcoming Auto Guangzhou 2025 motor show, which is set to take place from Nov 20 to 22. We can expect to know more about this upcoming EV saloon—including whether it’ll be Xpeng’s next global product—as we get closer to the motor show.
