2025 GWM Haval H6 HEV Updated with New Phantom Black Interior – RM139,800
GWM Malaysia has updated the Haval H6 HEV with the new Phantom Black Interior colour option.
Just under one year since its local debut, GWM Malaysia has given its best-selling hybrid model, the GWM Haval H6 HEV, a new Phantom Black Interior colour option. Despite this addition, the locally assembled (CKD) H6 HEV’s launch price tag remains unchanged at RM139,800 on-the-road.
Included with said price is a standard 7-year or 200,000 KM vehicle warranty, an upgraded 10-year or 1 million KM HEV battery warranty coverage, a 10-year or 1 million KM engine warranty, and a separate 8-year or 1 million KM warranty for its HEV system. Not to forget, there's also RM6,600 worth of savings on the H6 HEV for those who place a booking from now onwards.
The new Phantom Black Interior colour option essentially replaces the dual-tone cabin setup we saw on the H6 HEV before with a more elegant and simple all-black setup. This includes the upholstery on all its seats, both the front dash and door card trims, and the central console.
Also being replaced are those contrasting rose gold accents on the standard H6 HEV, where they are now replaced with more subdued silver trims. GWM Malaysia also added these changes directly addressed requests from their customers, citing that the Phantom Black interior “adds a premium, sporty feel that matches Malaysian taste for elegance with attitude.”
Predictably, no exterior design changes took place on this ‘updated’ H6 HEV, where it gets all the same design bits as before, including this Sun Black exterior colourway the displayed model comes with. Some key design highlights include full LED headlights, a slew of chrome accents, 19-inch all-black alloy wheels, and many more.
Power is also drawn from the same turbo-hybrid setup, featuring a 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbocharged petrol mill rated at 150 PS and 230 Nm, which is then mated to a single electric motor and a small 1.6-kWh hybrid battery pack.
Combined, this powertrain setup delivers a total system output of 243 PS and 530 Nm. Drive is sent to the front wheels (FWD) via a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) for a decent 0-100 km/h time of 7.7 seconds, en route to its limited 175 km/h V-Max.
More importantly, GWM claims the Haval H6 HEV only sips 5.8 litres of fuel per 100 km, allowing you more than 1,000 km of comprehensive driving range. That said, this hybrid C-SUV recently charted on the ASEAN Records for achieving the longest single-tank distance traveled of 1,242 km on a single tank.
