Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut Sets 0–400–0 km/h Record at 25.21-Secs
Koenigsegg has reclaimed the 0-400-0 KM/H world record for homologated road cars, setting a blistering new time of 25.21 seconds at Örebro airfield on August 7, 2025.
Factory test driver Markus Lundh piloted the Jesko Absolut to the achievement, surpassing the company’s own 2024 mark of 27.83-secs and dethroning the month-old record of 25.79 seconds set by the Rimac Nevera R.
The Jesko Absolut’s performance was dominant across every phase of the run. It accelerated from a standstill to 400 KM/H in just 16.77-secs, before coming to a halt in 8.44-secs.
By comparison, the Rimac Nevera R’s 0-400 KM/H sprint was 17.35-secs. The Jesko also posted a 0-250-0 KM/H in 25.67-secs, with the 0-250 KM/H leg done in 17.18-secs and the 250-0 KM/H stop in 8.49-secs.
The record came despite sub-optimal conditions with a track that was drying up after rainfall demanding precision and control from Lundh and maximum efficiency from the car. The Jesko Absolut’s twin-turbocharged 5.0-litre V8, ultra-low drag profile and sophisticated traction control strategies combined to deliver the decisive edge.
Koenigsegg attributes the leap forward to “Absolut Overdrive”, a software upgrade that refined the Light Speed Transmission and Engine Management systems and introduced a new torque control system for unprecedented grip management.
These refinements, applied to the record setting Jesko Absolut will be rolled out to all Jesko Absolut’s customers in due time.
Christian von Koenigsegg said the result shows a rear-wheel-drive, combustion-powered production car can beat all-wheel-drive electric rivals, overturning long-held performance assumptions. The run was recorded with industry-standard Racelogic equipment and independently verified.
