KL Police Chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said over 2,700 officers and personnel will be deployed to manage traffic and security as the celebrations are expected to draw more than 100,000 visitors.

A special Anti-Crime Operation will also be mounted on Merdeka Eve, focusing on crowded areas and high-risk zones across the federal capital.
