One-off Ferrari Daytona SP3 Fetches US$26 Million At Auction For Charity
Ferrari and RM Sotheby's have teamed up to auction off this one-off Daytona SP3 during Monterey Car Week 2025 last week.

Pictured here is the 600th and final Ferrari Daytona SP3 built by the famed Maranello-rooted supercar purveyors. Instead of being ‘typically’ delivered to an unnamed UHNWI, this unit was sent off in the most ‘untypical’ of ways.
Firstly, besides being the last Daytona SP3 unit produced, this unit also wears a striking dual-tone black and yellow (Giallo Modena) livery, thus making it a one-off. Notably, the black half of things wasn’t painted as Ferrari chose to leave it finished in exposed carbon.
Other unique bits here include a distinctive interior upholstered in materials made from recycled tyres plus trims made using the same carbon fibre weave Ferrari uses for its Formula 1 racecars.

Notably, the unit that Ferrari auctioned was the 600th and final Daytona SP3 it produced, and it even rocked a striking livery matched with a unique interior.

Secondly, RM Sotheby’s partnered with Ferrari to offer this bespoke Daytona SP3 to the public via auction. It also confirmed that all the proceeds from this hypercar’s sale went to benefit The Ferrari Foundation and its educational initiatives.
Clearly, this combination made this unit quite an attractive proposition to select UHNWI car collectors present during last week’s annual Monterey Car Week. This also perhaps explains how the Daytona SP3 unit detailed went under the hammer for a record price.
The auction ended with a record-setting winning bid of US$26 million (approx. RM109.91 million). For reference, that’s over five times what any other Daytona SP3 unit ‘typically’ commands – things reportedly started at over US$2.2 million (approx. RM9.3 million) when new.
Unsurprisingly, this one-off Daytona SP3 was able to fetch a record-setting price at auction, raising US$26 million for Ferrari's charity foundation in the process.

Though this Ferrari Daytona SP3 unit technically sold for US$26 million, this is not representative of the car’s value. Instead, one way to see this is that the winning bidder has donated the sum noted and received the Ferrari hypercar for it.
Revealed in 2022, the Ferrari Daytona SP3 is very much closely related to the open-top LaFerrari Aperta – it underpins said hypercar’s chassis. It also shares the same mid-mounted 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 mill outputting 829 HP and 697 NM.
Paired with a 7-speed DCT box, the 1,485 KG (dry) two-seat hypercar despatches 0-100 KM/H in just 2.85 secs, 0-200 KM/H in 7.4 secs, and reach a V-max of over 340 KM/H, claims the renowned prancing horse marque.
