Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) have launched the GR Yaris Aero Performance Package, a motorsports-inspired upgrade that will go on sale at Toyota dealerships across Japan from Oct 1, 2025.

Developed in close collaboration with TGR works drivers, the package focuses on improving cooling, handling and aerodynamic efficiency. It will be available on the RZ “High Performance” and RC trim levels of the GR Yaris.

Each of the six components offered are derived through real-world racing, from endurance runs in the Super Taikyu Series to rally stages in the Japanese Championship. A ducted aluminum hood, adapted from the rally-bred GRMN Yaris, improves cooling by releasing engine heat.

Up front, a newly designed front lip spoiler reduces lift and sharpens aerodynamic balance, an addition made following feedback from TGR professional racer Hiroaki Ishiura. Fender ducts enhance steering stability by releasing trapped air from the wheelhouses, while a fuel tank undercover smooths underbody airflow for greater efficiency.

At the rear, a large variable wing boosts high-speed stability and can be adjusted for different driving conditions, including circuit use. Rear bumper ducts, developed after a bumper failure incident during racing, reduce drag by preventing air stagnation.

Combined, these enhancements deliver sharper circuit performance while inspiring more confidence in spirited driving.

Pricing for the GR Yaris with the Aero Performance Package starts at ¥5.475 million (RM170,600) for the RZ “High performance” manual, while the automatic version is priced at ¥5.825 million (RM181,400). The RC variant begins at ¥4.055 million (RM126,400) for the manual and ¥4.405 million (RM137,200) for the automatic.
