Toyota GR Supra A90 Bows Out with Limited 300-Unit 'Final Edition’
Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) has announced the end of production for the fifth-generation (A90) Supra sports coupe model.
Co-developed in collaboration with BMW, TGR is releasing two exclusive variants in the 3.0-liter configuration: a Mildly Upgraded A90 Supra and the limited-edition Supra A90 Final Edition - limited to only 300 units worldwide.
The Mildly Upgraded A90 Supra focuses on refining the driving experience. It will be offered in both manual and automatic transmissions, featuring improvements such as a retuned chassis with optimised active differential control to reduce understeer during cornering.
The Brembo brake system has been upgraded, with rotors now measuring 374 MM for enhanced stopping power. Aerodynamic enhancements include a carbon-fiber ducktail spoiler and redesigned front tire spats, improving balance and downforce. The interior retains its sporty character with alcantara upholstery featuring “GR” embroidery and red accents, reinforcing its performance-oriented design.
The Supra A90 Final Edition serves as a fitting farewell for this generation of the Supra, akin to Mitsubishi’s approach with the Evolution X. Limited to 300 units, this model benefits from Toyota’s motorsports expertise, offering a power increase to 430 HP and 570 NM of torque.
This boost is achieved through optimized intake design and a low-back-pressure catalyst. To handle the extra power, the cooling system has been upgraded with a stronger radiator fan, a sub-radiator, and enlarged cooling fins on the differential gear cover. An Akrapovič titanium muffler adds a distinct performance sound.
Handling improvements in the Final Edition include race-inspired 395 MM Brembo’s, KW adjustable dampers with multiple rebound and compression settings, strengthened body rigidity with additional braces and reinforced mounts, and wider Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires paired with lightweight forged wheels for improved cornering stability.
Aerodynamic upgrades include a refined carbon-fiber front spoiler, a swan-neck rear wing, and functional hood ducts to enhance downforce and cooling efficiency.
Inside, the Supra A90 Final Edition features Recaro Podium CF carbon-fiber bucket seats with red accents, complemented by alcantara trim and exclusive carbon-fiber scuff plates. This variant represents the culmination of the fifth-generation Supra, which returned in 2019 after a 17-year hiatus.
Although production is ending, the A90 Supra will remain part of TGR’s motorsport lineup. Both the Mildly Upgraded A90 and the A90 Final Edition Supra will be available in Japan and select European markets. However, it remains unclear if UMW Toyota Motor will secure any allocations for the local market.
