Transport Minister Anthony Loke has clarified that key public transport subsidies including the My50 Pass, FLYsiswa, and festive airfare controls will continue next year, even though they weren’t mentioned in the recently tabled Budget 2026.

Speaking to reporters in Parliament, Loke said these programmes would still receive financial backing.

“All the initiatives we have implemented over the past two to three years will continue to receive allocations from the Finance Ministry,” he said, without revealing the total amount.

The My50 Pass, which offers Klang Valley commuters unlimited rides on LRT, MRT, and RapidKL buses for 30 days, will remain available.

Also continuing is the FLYsiswa programme, which provides flight vouchers for public university students travelling between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah or Sarawak.

The government’s festive airfare cap will stay as well, limiting one-way economy fares between Peninsular and East Malaysia during peak travel seasons.
