- BMW Z4 Final Edition Run-Out Special Announced

Essentially 'twins', both the third-gen (G29) BMW Z4 roadster (left) and fifth-gen (A90/J29) Toyota GR Supra coupe are set to see their combined production end in March 2026.

Like its hard-topped Toyota GR Supra coupe twin, the third-gen (G29) BMW Z4 is also set to see production conclude by March 2026. Ahead of which, the Bavarian marque has revealed a ‘Final Edition’ run-out special for which today.
Order books for this special will reportedly open in late Jan 2026, and BMW also confirmed it has no plans to develop a fourth-gen successor. In other words, only the 4 Series and 8 Series convertibles will remain as the brand’s only open-top offerings.
Like the GR Supra, the Z4 is also set to bow out with a 'Final Edition' run-out special pictured, which will go sale in late Jan 2026.

We’ll remind you that the current third-gen Z4 roadster model brings stylish wind-in-hair thrills thanks to its retractable soft-top that can deploy or retract in just 10 seconds, even on the move up to speeds of 50 km/h.
Historically, the BMW Z4 nameplate first debuted in 2003 with its first-gen (E85/86) iteration before a second-gen successor (E89) successor bowed in 2009. The current third-gen (G29) model mentioned came in 2018.
Exclusive to the Z4 FInal Edition are its Frozen Matt Black exterior paint and M High-Gloss Shadowline exterior trim combination, as well as red-painted M Sport brake calipers.

Typical of any run-out special, the Z4 Final Edition brings a slew of exclusive touches, the most prominent of which being its Frozen Matt Black exterior paint, M High-Gloss Shadowline exterior trim, as well as red-painted M Sport brake calipers.
On board, a similar motif is replicated through red stitching running across the dash, centre console, door trims, sports seats and steering wheel. Completing things are a set of bespoke door sill plates denoting this run-out special’s status.

Similarly, the Final Edition treatment on board brings a red stitching motif running across the dash, doors, seats and steering wheel. Brimmed here too are bespoke door sill plates denoting 'Final Edition' status.

BMW is set to offer this Final Edition treatment option across all three variants of the Z4, which consists of the 4-cyl-powered sDrive20i and sDrive30i duo plus a range-topping M40i guise that packs the coveted B58 3.0-litre in-line 6-cyl turbo petrol lump.
Prices have yet to be announced but expect this run-out special to command a premium over the regular guises detailed. For reference, BMW Group Malaysia still has the BMW Z4 sDrive30i M Sport listed locally at RM501,800 (RM524,400 with BS & RI).
Said variant packs the marque’s staple B48 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol heart outputting 255 hp and 400 Nm to enable 0-100 km/h dashes in 5.4 secs.
