- KTMB Diverts Passengers From Arau Station As Floods Worsen In Perlis

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is maintaining full train operations in the northern sector despite worsening weather, though some services are experiencing delays as a safety precaution amid persistent rainfall.
KTMB said its teams are closely monitoring water levels along several stretches of the northern rail line, with staff on the ground “on high alert” as rain continues.

“Updates will be provided periodically through our official channels,” the rail operator said.
Floods in Perlis earlier today also forced several roads to close, including access to the Arau KTM station.
With the route to the station underwater, KTMB confirmed that passengers using Arau will temporarily board and disembark at the Kodiang station until conditions improve.
“The road to Arau Station is flooded and cannot be used. ETS passengers who normally use Arau can board and alight at Kodiang Station until conditions improve," it mentioned in a statement.
KTMB further stated that the adjustment was necessary to ensure passenger safety and smooth train movement. Early notifications were also sent via SMS to affected customers to inform them of the temporary station change.

“For now, ETS train services are running as usual, subject to the current conditions in the northern sector,” it stressed, noting that staff are stationed at Kodiang to help coordinate passenger flow and ensure everything runs orderly.
The rail operator said it will continue monitoring the weather and flood situation closely and will issue updates through its official social media channels.
