- Lamborghini Among 92 Luxury Cars Seized In KL JPJ Crackdown

Kuala Lumpur’s Road Transport Department (JPJ) has stepped up enforcement on luxury vehicles, seizing 92 out of 241 inspected under Ops Luxury since July.
KL JPJ Director Hamidi Adam said the department also issued a total of 401 notices covering various offenses, from vehicle documentation issues to technical violations.
“The recorded offenses include 45 drivers without a CDL, one with a fake CDL, 177 cases of expired or missing Motor Vehicle Licenses (LKM), 160 without insurance, and 10 vehicles without registration plates,” he explained.

Other violations involved six vehicles displaying another vehicle’s registration number and two operating without an Operator’s License.
“This week alone, several luxury vehicles such as a Lamborghini Aventador and a Porsche 911 were seized for various offences," Hamidi added.
Among the actions taken, JPJ issued 307 JPJ(P)22 notices, seized 92 vehicles under Section 64, carried out one interrogation under Section 114, and took one action under Section 224 of the Land Public Transport Act (APAD) 2010.

Hamidi emphasised that Ops Luxury will continue, targeting high-end vehicles to reinforce road safety and regulatory compliance.
“JPJ Kuala Lumpur reaffirms its full commitment to ensuring road user safety remains a top priority,” he stressed.
