- 2025 Chery Arrizo 8 Pro Gains New 400T Luxury Variant in China

The 2025 Chery Arrizo 8 Pro gains a new range-topping 400T Luxury variant in China, priced from just CNY 147,900.
Chery has updated the 2025 model year (2025 MY) lineup for its Arrizo 8 Pro sedan in China by adding a new variant known as 400T Luxury. This top-spec variant features a slight power boost over its lower-specced siblings, while getting minor design updates and a new price tag of CNY 147,900 (RM85,861).

Most of its exterior design remains unchanged from the other 2.0T variants of the Arrizo 8 Pro, which includes the hexagonal front grille with black honeycomb inserts that Chery calls the “Star Ring Obsidian Grille,” a chrome-accented lower front bumper garnish, and sharp full-width LED taillights with a quad-pipe exhaust system.

What’s new here are the 400T badge at the rear to denote its slight power boost, as well as new 18-inch two-tone multi-spoke alloy wheels with red-hued brake callipers and shod in Continental UltraContact UC6 tyres.
Dimension-wise, the Arrizo 8 Pro 400T Luxury remains unchanged from its lower-specced siblings, spanning 4,812 mm long, 1,843 mm wide, and 1,469 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,790 mm. While this is enough to put the Arrizo 8 Pro in the midsize D-segment sedan category, this sporty number is still positioned as a C-segment sedan in the Chinese domestic market, thus putting it neck-to-neck against the likes of the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla, to name a few.

On board, the Arrizo 8 Pro 400T Luxury also borrows its cabin layout from the 2.0T variants, albeit it gets a sportier black-and-red colour scheme. Some key amenities primed here include a large 15.6-inch infotainment screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, a smaller 10.25-inch digital metre cluster, a three-spoke steering wheel, an electronic gear selector, ambient lights, a panoramic sunroof, and many more.

Perhaps the most significant upgrade for the Arrizo 8 Pro 400T Luxury variant lies under its bonnet, where its 2.0-litre 4-cyl Kunpeng turbocharged petrol engine has been slightly updated to now produce 257 hp (192 kW) and 400 Nm compared to the 251 hp (187 kW) and 390 Nm output previously.
Said 2.0-litre TGDI engine is still mated to the same 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox and a front-wheel drive (FWD) driveline, although Chery has yet to specify any performance number gains from this uprated engine.

While this upgrade is enough to make the Arrizo 8 Pro 400T Luxury the most powerful variant in the current lineup, it is still not enough to make it the outright most powerful version of the sedan, as that title still goes to its semi-electrified twin, the Chery Fulwin A8.
