- Honda Debuts New Simplified ‘Borderless’ Logo
Honda has debuted a simplified and 'borderless' new logo and emblem.

Japanese automaker Honda has revealed a brand-new rendition of its iconic ‘H’ logo and emblem. This redux was first revealed in 2024 through the marque’s 0 Series concepts – these were the first new metal to wear said new emblem.
According to Honda, the new simplified and ‘borderless’ look is intended to represent “two outstretched hands.” The secondary intent here too was to symbolise a “second founding” for the marque as it transitions through a “transformation period.”

The Honda 0 Series concepts revealed in 2024 were actually the first new metal from the marque to don this simplified new emblem.
Honda adds the new emblem will be donned on new electrified passenger car models - hybrids and EVs included - produced from next year onwards.

New passenger car models from the automaker are set to don this new emblem starting next year too, adds the automaker. More specifically, it will be donned on all new electrified – both hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs) - from the marque.
Honda did not disclose if this rebrand will apply to any upcoming combustion (ICE)-powered models, but this is largely expected. Apart from cars, the new emblem will be applied across all fronts – dealerships and motorsports divisions included.

This could signal that both the Prelude hybrid sports coupe (top, left) and upcoming Super-One Kei EV supermini (top, right) being the last to don the existing - and iconic - 'H' emblem (above).

In turn, this could mean that both the Prelude hybrid sports coupe and upcoming Super-One EV Kei EV supermini may be the last of the brand’s current crop of cars to adopt the existing ‘H’ emblem that everyone is familiar with.
Notably, the new emblem comes as Honda resets its new car development ethos – the automaker has effectively struggled to gain a foothold as an established mainstream EV maker.
Historically, the iconic ‘H’ emblem has served as the Japanese automaker’s identity since 1963. It underwent slight revisions in 1969, 1981, 1991 and 2001.
