- Launched: Dongfeng 007 & Vigo EV – From RM161,800* & RM100,000*

The all-new Dongfeng 007 fastback EV and Vigo EV crossover debut locally today, priced from RM100,000* onwards.
Following their first preview late last year, Dongfeng Cars Malaysia has officially launched its latest electric vehicle duo, the Dongfeng 007 and Dongfeng Vigo.

Two variants of the sleek 007 are available for the Malaysian market, with prices starting from RM169,888 for the base-spec Premium and RM195,888 for the top-spec Prime Performance. The Vigo is only available in a single Premier variant, retailing at RM108,888.

Mind you, the prices listed above do not include the special launch discount worth RM8,888, thus bringing their prices down to RM161,000 for the 007 Premium, RM187,000 for the 007 Prime Performance, and RM100,000 flat for the Vigo Premier.
Not to forget, all these prices mentioned above are inclusive of the standard warranty package offered by Dongfeng Cars Malaysia, including a six-year unlimited warranty vehicle warranty, an eight-year unlimited mileage powertrain warranty, and one free ABB wall box charger.

As detailed in our prior report, the 007 is positioned as Dongfeng’s midsize EV saloon with a sporty fastback bodystyle. The Premium variant rocks a single, rear-mounted (RWD) electric motor rated at 268 hp (200 kW) and 310 Nm that enables a century sprint time of 5.8 seconds.
The top-spec Prime Performance variant ups the ante with a peppier dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) setup delivering a combined output of 544 hp (400 kW) and 620 Nm for a quicker 0-100 km/h time of 3.9 seconds.

Regardless of variants, the Malaysian-spec 007 EV comes standard with a 73.48 kWh battery pack that provides up to 650 km of range (CLTC) to the single-motor Premium, while the dual-motor Prime Performance gets a slightly discounted range of 565 km (CLTC). Said battery pack also supports both AC 6.6 kW and DC 200 kW charging methods.

In terms of dimension, the 007 EV spans 4,880 mm long, 1,895 mm wide, and 1,465 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,915 mm, thus putting it on par with other popular Chinese EV saloons such as the BYD Seal, GWM Ora 7, Xpeng P7, and many more. Other exterior bits primed here include full LED lighting units, 19-inch multi-spoke wheels (18-inch for the baseline Premium), and many more.

Despite its sporty exterior looks, the 007 gets a spacious cabin laced with tons of premium amenities and a pretty practical boot space of 452 litres. Some key amenities primed here include a 15.6-inch central infotainment screen with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, an 8.8-inch digital metre cluster, powered and ventilated front seats, vegan leather upholstery, ambient lights, a panoramic glass roof, wireless chargers, and a 19-speaker WANOS premium audio system.

Moving on to the Vigo (also known as the Nammi 06 in China), this B-segment SUV crossover features a single powertrain setup for our market, namely a single, front-mounted (FWD) electric motor rated at 161 hp (120 kW) and 230 Nm. Dongfeng claims this setup is good to allow the Vigo a respectable 0-100 km/h sprint time of 9.5 seconds, while its 51.87-kWh LFP battery pack can provide up to 471 km of claimed EV range.
Charging-wise, the Vigo supports both AC 6.6 kW and DC 167 kW charging methods.

As mentioned earlier, the Vigo is positioned as Dongfeng’s B-segment EV SUV fighter, spanning 4.306 mm long, 1,868 mm wide, and 1,654 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,715 mm. This SUV also rides on 18-inch black alloy rims shod in 215/55/R18 tyres.

Despite its relatively compact footprint, Dongfeng claims the Vigo boasts the most spacious cargo space of any B-segment EV SUV, measuring 500 litres as standard, and it can be expanded further either by folding down the rear seats or adjusting the cargo bed floor level. Not to forget, the Vigo also sports a novel split tailgate opening for its boot space—something that you hardly see in any B-SUVs out there.

Other key amenities primed inside the Vigo include a 12.8-inch central infotainment screen that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a smaller 8.8-inch digital metre cluster, powered front seats with driver’s side ventilation and memory function, ambient lights, vegan leather upholstery, a panoramic glass roof, and many more.
