Introducing the All-New Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance
Following the major IS make-over last year, Lexus has just launched its new Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance which is the first model in the Japanese carmaker’s new F Sport Performance line-up.
A throwback to the classic IS F, the new IS 500 F features a 5.0-litre V8 engine which produces 472 hp at 7,100 rpm and 535 Nm at 4,800 rpm. This leads to a sprint from zero to 96 km/h in approximately 4.5 seconds and a fuel economy of 10.2km/l

Included is also a raised front hood, dark chrome window trims and a quad exhaust system with dual stacked tail pipes. The model also gets 19-inch Enkei 10-spoke wheels with a black F SPORT Performance badging.

For the interior, there’s not much updates done compared to the normal IS with the exception of F SPORT Performance badging on the leather steering wheel and door sill scuff plates, as well as F SPORT pedals and a new startup animation for the instrument cluster.

In terms of safety, the IS 500 F gets an updated Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which includes the Front Collision Warning system, Automatic Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection and Bicyclist Detection. The vehicle also gets the updated All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and additional Lane Departure with Steering Assist. As standard, the vehicle is fitted with Intelligent High Beams and Road Sign Assist.
The Lexus Enform Safety Connect comes with a three-year trial with access to the Lexus Enform response centers all year long. It also includes a complimentary 10-year specific factory recommended maintenance alerts from your vehicle, which also alerts a preferred Lexus dealer.
Additionally, the Lexus App allows users to start their vehicle remotely, scheduling a service appointment and much more. The Lexus App dashboard offers a customized view of convenient vehicle and connected service information, such as the Vehicle Health Report, scheduled maintenance, and vehicle health updates. Note that these features are only available with an active subscription.
More information about the vehicle will be available closer to launch and the all-new Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance is expected to arrive this fall. Watch this space for more news!
