Launching in April 16, the 2021 New Nissan Navara is Previewed in Malaysia
The wait is finally over with the Nissan Navara as Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM) has finally previewed the range-topping refreshed version of the vehicle, the Navara PRO-4X. This model has now made an appearance ahead of its launch which will be on April 16.

The revised “interlock” grille is similar to the Nissan Titan which gives off an aggressive look to the vehicle. Fitted are also new quad-projector LED headlamps as well as C-shaped daytime running lights.
The front bumper also receives a revamp with a larger cross-shaped design, as well as a taller bonnet and marching rear bed. The new side step finishers are said to improve aerodynamic performance, wind noise reduction and fuel consumption.
The rear also features C-shaped headlamps, and a new tailgate design. The rear bumper also includes built-in steps similar to the side to make reaching into the bed more convenient.

The range-topping also adds upgrades such as wheel arch extensions, wing mirrors, door handles and roof rails. The wheels fitted are 17-inch black-coloured wheels which are smaller than the previous VL variant. Orange-red accents are also seen on the Nissan badge, hook covers and wheel arch trims.
The PRO-4X features the new Utili-Track cargo system which consists of forged aluminum cleats which gives users flexibility when tying down items. The Tailgate Assist function is also equipped to reduce effort required when opening and closing the tailgate.
Interior-wise, the new Navara is fitted with a new three-spoke steering wheel seen on the newest Serena. Included is also a seven-inch multi-info display with two analogue dials and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
On the other hand, the vehicle gets embroidered leather upholstery as well as additional sound deadening and acoustic front windscreen and side windows. The rear seats were redesigned with a more supportive base with curved backrest for a more ergonomic seating position to ensure comfort for its passengers.

The new model also includes keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, 360-degree camera system with Intelligent Moving Object Detection (I-AVM), new off-road mode and six speakers.

Safety-wise, some of the features available are six airbags, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic High Beam, Intelligent Predictive Forward Collision Warning, as well as stability control. We’re unsure of what the other variants will offer, so watch this space for more news about the upcoming launch.
The vehicle maintains the previous YD25 2.5-litre engine seen on the D40. It produces 187 hp at 3,600 rpm and 450 Nm at 2,000 rpm with a seven-speed automatic transmission.
Featured is also the Trailer Swat Assist, which ensures the truck is under control when the trailer being towed starts to sway. It also includes revised steering, multilink rear suspension and electronic locking rear differential.
The PRO-4X will be available in four colours - Black Star, Pearl White, Burning Red and variant-exclusive Stealth Grey.
ETCM will be launching the range-topping Nissan Navara PRO-4X alongside new variants on April 16 with its variants, pricing and additional details. Potential customers can review, book and drive the new Navara in Nissan showrooms nationwide or register their interest through Nissan Malaysia’s website.
