Perodua Aruz Touches Down In Singapore

Perodua Aruz has been officially launched in Singapore bearing a price tag of SGD 92,999 (RM 286,409), inclusive of goods and services tax and certificate of entitlement (COE).

“The Aruz’s arrival in Singapore marks the first seven-seater offered by Perodua in the island nation, With nearly 58,000 units sold in Malaysia since its debut in 2019, the Perodua Aruz was Malaysia’s best-selling SUV overall in 2019 and 2020. We are looking forward to sharing the Aruz’s space, safety, versatility, durability, practicality and fuel efficiency with our southern neighbours,” said Perodua president and chief executive officer Datuk Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

The Perodua Aruz performance was powered by a 1.5 litres Dual VVT-i four-cylinder engine naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 101 hp at 6,000 rpm and 133 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. The transmission is an electronically-controlled automatic transmission. The fuel consumption is using the Eco Idle system to yield a rated up to 15.6 km/l (6.4l/100 km).

Standard equipment includes LED headlamps, 17-inch two-tone alloys, keyless entry and start, manual air-conditioning with digital controls and rear vents, a touchscreen head unit with six speakers and reverse camera. The cabin features fabric seats with 60:40-split second and 50:50-split third rows.

For the safety features, Perodua Aruz 1.5L X gets six airbags (front, side and curtain), along with Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Emergency Stop Signal, Hill Start Assist and ISOFIX Child Seat Anchors. There is no Perodua Aruz 1.5L AV variant, so the Aruz doesn’t get Advanced Safety Assist (ASA) 2.0 in Singapore. It also has a five-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating.
There are 3 metallic colours and a solid colour : Granite Grey, Electric Blue, Glittering Silver and Ivory White. Each purchase comes with a five-year or 100,000 km warranty.
Perocom Auto Pte Ltd is the sole authorised Perodua distributor in Singapore since 1997. The company has sold Kancil, Kembara, Kelisa, first-generation Viva and Myvi. On top of that, they had sold third-generation Myvi, Bezza and Axia previously. Besides Singapore, Perodua also exports to Brunei, Sri Lanka, Mauritius, the Seychelles, Fiji and Indonesia.
