The Honda City RS has just been welcomed to the Malaysian car market, and it has grabbed our attention.

With its generous amount of features, it is definitely worth the price you are paying for.

All three petrol variants (S, E, and V) are equipped with a 1.5-liter DOHC naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine. However, the RS variant is a hybrid and is equipped with a 1.5 litre Atkinson-cycle DOHC i-VTEC four-cylinder engine that also comes with an electric motor.

To name a few, the base variant of the City which is the S variant features 15-inch alloy wheels, LED DRL and rear combi lights, smart entry with push start button, ECON button, analogue and digital cluster instrument, rear air-conditioning ventilation, steering wheel audio controls, and power adjustable door mirrors.

In terms of safety, the City S is equipped with four airbags and features ISOFIX, vehicle stability assist (VSA), anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), brake assist (BA), hill-start assist (HSA), emergency signal system (ESS), two reverse sensors, as well as a security alarm with immobiliser.

Meanwhile, the E variant gets certain features which are not available in the base variant. Some of them are remote engine start, cruise control, single auto air-conditioning, 8-inch display audio, an additional USB port, as well as a multi-angle reverse camera.

On the other hand, the V variant maintains the equipment found in the E variant but comes with add-ons such as auto LED headlights, front fog lights, eight speakers, six airbags, Honda lanewatch camera (LWC) and 16-inch petrol alloy wheels.

As for the range-topping RS variant, this hybrid has additional features that include a 1.5L Sports i-MMD e:HEV powertrain, 7-inch digital meter panel with hybrid-specific displays, dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels and 409 litres of boot space.

In addition to extra safety features such as auto brake hold (ABH), a major highlight of the vehicle is Honda Sensing that includes features such as forward collision warning (FCW), collision mitigation braking system (CMBS), lane departure warning (LDW), lane keeping assist system (LKAS), road departure mitigation (RDM), adaptive cruise control (ACC), as well as auto high beam (AHB).

As a recap, below is the complete table of what each variant offers:

Regardless of the variant, Honda has proven that the City RS is a superior vehicle for its pricing. What is your take on the Honda City RS? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
