Hyundai Elantra, Now Available In Two Variants; Executive & Premium!

Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) revealed the all-new Executive variant under the Elantra line, now making it available in two variants. The vehicle is priced at RM139,888 (Peninsular Malaysia, not including insurance). 

The newly released Executive also comes with SmartSense features included in the Premium variant. These features include blind spot-collision warning, rear cross traffic - collision warning, safe exit warning and also rear occupant alert. 

Other than that, coming standard in the new variant is black fabric seats, manual seat adjustments, a 4.2-inch TFT LCD Cluster and also a day and night rear view mirror. 

“We have received a significant number of interest from customers on the new Elantra and also a preference for lower pricing. As with all fully imported cars, the exchange rate is one of the determining factors for the price of the car. The Elantra is a complete built-up unit that is fully-imported from Korea, therefore the exchange rate does affect how we price the car. Having said that, we would still like to make the Elantra accessible to all our customers with the introduction of this new variant,” said Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors managing director Low Yuan Lung.

Under the hood, the Elantra comes with a Smartstream G1.6 petrol engine that is paired with an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT), producing 121hp at 6,300rpm and the maximum torque of 154Nm at 4,500rpm. 

The vehicle comes with four drive mode options that include Smart, Comfort, Eco and Sport. Not only that, the Executive variant is also equipped with more than 474 litres of boot space, as well as 60/40 split folding rear seats. 

Among the standard safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, antilock braking system, downhill brake control, hill-start assist control, brake assist system, traction control system, vehicle stability management and immobiliser. 

The Elantra comes with a five-year or 300,000km warranty (whichever comes first). The model is available for viewing at all Hyundai showrooms across the country.
