As of recently, NIO released several photos of the upcoming NIO ET7, the flagship all-electric sedan expected for market launch in the first quarter of 2022.

The company showed the first body-in-white (BIW) over a month ago. Similar to the three existing NIO models ES8, ES6 and EC6, the NIO ET7 will be produced at the JAC-NIO Hefei Advanced Manufacturing Centre in China.

This is also the first validation build of the vehicle, which rolled off the line on May 18, 2021, according to the Chinese manufacturer.

The ET7 is expected to be exported to Norway, as per media reports. The vehicle will be the second model to enter the country, following the ES8.

As a recap, the NIO ET7 comes in three configurations - a 70 kWh battery pack with over 500 km of NEDC range, 100 kWh battery for over 700 km range, and a 150 kWh battery option which offers over 1,000 km of range. The dual motor all-wheel drive sedan claims to complete a century sprint in 3.9 seconds, with a 100-0 km/h braking in 44.5 m thanks to the Brembo brakes which comes as standard. It also features the NIO 2nd generation powertrain with SiC power electronics, alongside a system output of 480 kW and 850 Nm, respectively.

It is unsure whether the vehicle will arrive in countries in Europe or the United States, although competition in the high-end luxury segment is becoming aggressive. Nevertheless, we are excited to see what NIO has in store for their flagship sedan!
