Here Comes The Chinese Comtender For The Pick-Up Truck Segment - JMC Vigus Pro

Angka-Tan Motor Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Warisan TC Holdings Bhd, has launched the all-new JMC Vigus Pro pick-up truck at a price of RM98,888 on the road, excluding insurance.

Whether it's for work or play, the Vigus Pro is ready to meet the demanding requirements of pick-up trucks users in Malaysia after proving itself as the second best-selling pick-up truck in the Chinese market," said Warisan TC Holdings Bhd chief executive officer and Angka-Tan Motor executive director Tan Keng Meng at a virtual launching event.

The Virgus Pro is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged Puma diesel engine that produces 139 hp at 3,600 rpm and 340 Nm of torque from 1,500 rpm to 2,600 rpm. It is mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission.

Some of the equipment available includes the slim headlamps with C-shape LED daytime running lights, lower bumper guard, 3D taillamps, high-mounted third brake lamp, side steps, auto-folding wing mirrors with LED indicators, two-tone 16-inch alloy wheels, multi-function leather steering wheels with paddle shifters, electronic gearshift selector, 8-inch colour touch-screen, amongst others.

As for the safety features, the Vigus Pro is fitted with two airbags, Eaton limited-slip differential lock, hill descent control, hill start assist, anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability programme with traction control, reverse camera and ISOFIX child seat mounting points.

There are four colours to choose from - Steady Brown, Solid White, Brilliant Silver and Glossy Black. The JMC Vigus Pro is covered by a 3-year or 100,000km, whichever comes first warranty.

Currently, Mayflower Car Rental Sdn Bhd has become the first fleet customer with an initial order of 30 units of the Vigus Pro.

The JMC Vigus Pro is locally assembled at Tan Chong Motor plant in Serendah, Selangor. It is now available for viewing and test drive at all 13 Angka-Tan Motor dealerships nationwide.

New vehicle deliveries are expected to commence at the end of October 2021.
