The ‘Bentley Rear Entertainment’ system, Redefining Luxury And In-Car Entertainment
Amplifying the onboard experience, Bentley introduces a new cutting-edge ‘Bentley Rear Entertainment’ system for both the Flying Spur and the Bentayga.
Bentley Motors’ director of electrical and electronics, Ivo Muth, said, “The new Bentley Rear Entertainment system blends ease of use with exquisite design and functionality. It allows rear-seat passengers access to an ever-expanding world of entertainment via an exceptionally immersive system, one that represents the very latest in in-car technology. The system delivers digital entertainment services like media and streaming content from nearly all service providers worldwide and turns your car into your exclusive cinema on the move.”

First of all, the new Bentley Rear Entertainment offers the latest connected technology by combining a highly flexible system with its existing class-leading ‘Naim for Bentley’ audio setup.
The sound can be amplified via Bluetooth to either headphones supplied with the car or clients’ personal headphones.

Alternatively, it can also be amplified directly to the Flying Spur or Bentayga’s aforesaid existing system, which the Flying Spur’s setup features 2,200 Watts of power.
Besides that, its inventive ‘bring your own device’ concept allows passengers to stream content from their smartphone, computer or tablet directly without having to connect by cable.

Muth added, “Bentley’s new ‘bring your own device’ concept works seamlessly with a passenger’s own device, offering the benefits of a high-resolution, 10.1-inch screen and incredible sound quality. Bentley Rear Entertainment is another example of Bentley helping customers to create their own extraordinary journeys.”
To provide an exceptionally immersive entertainment experience, it incorporates two high-definition 10.1-inch screens attached to the back of the front seats.

Moreover, the bespoke arm-mounted tablet-like screens are also removable and use crystal clear graphics with high- resolutions of up to 1920 x 1080 pixels.
Said screens are touch sensitive, so functions such as volume, brightness, source selection and a handy user guide are easy to operate with the tap of a finger.

As for the content can be seamlessly cast to either of the Bentley Rear Entertainment screens from both iOS and Android media apps.
Provided both the device and Bentley Rear Entertainment are configured to the same Wi-Fi network, it can support apps such as Amazon Prime, Disney+, Youku or Apple TV.
Interestingly, Netflix, the popular entertainment streaming service that offers thousands of film and television programmes, comes pre-installed with the Bentley Rear Entertainment.
Both removable touchscreens are equipped with an HDMI port, which allows the use of media devices such as an Amazon Firestick or a game console.

Rear of the screen houses a discreet microphone, which monitors all audio coming from the Naim audio system to have a synchronised connection with the Bentley Rear Entertainment system.
Also, the latest USB Type C port installed offers a convenient charging point for all mobile devices and a backup for software updates.
On that note, the Over-The-Air (OTA) software updates ensure customers are future-proofed with the very latest in technology advances.
All in all, with the new ‘Bentley Rear Entertainment’ system, the company has redefined a new meaning to what luxury and in-car entertainment can offer.
