Latest Evolution Prancing Horse 2+ GT Spider Makes Malaysian Debut! Introducing The Ferrari Portofino M
Naza Italia, Official Importer and Distributor of the Ferrari brand in Malaysia recently revealed the most awaited Ferrari Portofino M to Malaysian markets. The model was first introduced through an online reveal in September 2020.

For those of you wondering, the ‘M’ in its moniker stands for ‘Modificata’. In Ferrari nomenclature, this is used in reference to cars that have undergone an evolution that has significantly boosted their performance.
“The ongoing challenges and restrictions our nation has been experiencing made delays of launch plans inevitable, so we are thrilled to now have the opportunity to introduce the Ferrari Portofino M to the local market and have it join Ferrari Malaysia’s stable of Prancing Horses.

Our clients have already shown keen interest in this versatile model and have been waiting in anticipation for the perfect evolution of the Portofino, which holds the promise of 2+ GT spider excellence with distinct progressions in character, design, performance and everyday adaptability.
As a true coupé with its top closed and a genuine spider when it is open, the Portofino M offers an enhanced driving experience that is ideal for all occasions and settings,” said Group CEO, Automotive Group, Naza Corporation Holdings Sdn Bhd, Dato’ Nik Hamdam Nik Hassan.
Under the hood is a 3.9-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that produces 611 hp (19 hp increase as compared to the Ferrari Portofino) at 5,750 to 7,500 rpm and 760 Nm of torque at 3,000 to 5,750 rpm.

Equipped with an 8-speed gearbox, it now has longer gear ratios and a mechanical reverse gear. The Portofino M can perform a century sprint in 3.45 seconds and has a top speed of 320 km/h.
Exterior highlights include wraparound front bumpers, a redefined grille that features new aluminium slats with contrasting faceted tips, more streamlined and sculptural rear bumpers, a completely redesigned rear diffuser, as well as specific diamond-finish wheel rims.

As for the interior, highlights include a multi-level dashboard structure, three-level ventilation for the seat and backrest, as well as a popular neck warmer with three heat level options.

The Portofino M’s HMI (Human-Machine Interface) sits in the centre of the digital cluster featuring dual TFT displays arranged around the analogue rev counter in a generous circular, anti-glare binnacle.
Its infotainment system also includes a full HD multi-touch capacitive screen with Split View as well as is compatible with both Apple Carplay and Android Auto.
In addition to that, a 7-inch colour full HD and Full Touch display is available as an option on the dashboard for the passenger. This display is directly linked to the main screen and provides all information relating to car speed, rpm and the gear that is engaged.
As for safety features, the Ferrari Portofino M comes with a generous set of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop&Go function, Predictive Emergency Brake System, Blind Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning, Automatic High Beam, Traffic Sign Recognition, Surround View with 3D display, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
