Unveiling 2022 All New Toyota Corolla Cross
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) has revealed the aspiring Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid and staged its price at RM136,500.

The price included is on-the-road without insurance, inclusive of a five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty. As for the hybrid, the variant gets an eight-year and 160,000 km battery warranty that can be extended by an additional two years for RM2950.
The new Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid is available in five colours – Silver Metallic, Red Mica Metallic, Nebula Blue Metallic, Platinum White Pearl and Celestite Grey Metallic.

Equipment-wise, the new model offers a seven-inch Multi-Info Display and a nine-inch Display Audio with Capacitive Touchscreen with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Connectivity.
In addition, the car includes dual zone-air conditioning with black leather upholstery and an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. It also rides on 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels and is fitted with a Bi-LED headlight.

Other standard features are shown for now include the Vehicle Telematics System (VTS), a 3D panoramic view monitor (PVM), a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and the Toyota Safety Sense suite.
Engine-wise, the New Toyota Hybrid offers a 1.8-litre Atkinson cycle Dual VVT-i four-cylinder engine, releasing a power output of 97hp at 5,200 rpm with 142 Nm of torque at 3,600 rpm for the petrol engine. At the same time, the electric motor provides 53 kW, which equals 71 hp and 163 Nm of torque.

Drivers can easily switch mode to Sport, Eco, and EV since it is equipped with an E-CVT power delivery system where the electric motor draws power from a 6.5-Ah nickel-metal hydride battery.
The battery is positioned under the rear seats to preserve the 440 litres of boot space identical to the non-hybrid variants.

The safety systems in TSS 2.0 consist of a Pre- Collision System (PCS), Lane Departure Alert (LDA) with Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist (LTA), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), and Automatic High Beam (AHB).
Other safety features included are Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA), 3D Panoramic View Monitor, Driver Start Control, and a Tyre Pressure Warning System (TPWS). A Front Driving Video Recorders (DVR) is standard, and customers can also choose to add a rear-mounted DVR.
