Face-lifted 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross For Europe Bows

A face-lifted 2025MY iteration of the Toyota Corolla Cross C-SUV specifically for the European market debuted recently.
It’s not often that we see Japanese automaking giant Toyota favour the ASEAN market region first ahead of either Europe or North America for its key models. Aptly, the latter stands as the automaker’s single largest overseas market by a significant margin, whilst the former comes somewhat second to that.
Such is the case with the face-lifted 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross for Europe pictured, which debuted recently. The folks in the Old Continent finally get this refreshed version of Toyota’s popular C-SUV a full-year since its debut, and a good five months after its Malaysian debut too.

There are scores of visual differences from the ASEAN market version we're familiar with. This covers both the head- and taillights, tailgate decor, and more.
Predictably, this European-bound version of the Corolla Cross sports several unique, region-specific additions and touches that set it apart from the version we’re familiar with. Perhaps this somewhat softens the blow to European buyers over said model’s delayed arrival.
Shared with the ASEAN market version is the revised front fascia’s body-coloured honeycomb grille. That aside, what’s unique here are the illuminated strips joining the headlights, which are also distinctively different in design in the European model pictured.
Over in the rear, the taillights of the European model rock a C-shape graphics, whilst its tailgate gets new ‘Corolla Cross’ script badge stamped on its rear number plate garnish. New here too are the 18-inch six split-spoke alloy wheels design primed in the ‘High Grade’ variant featured.

Interestingly, Toyota brings a sporty GR Sport guise to Europe for the first time through this facelift, and it also looks very different from the ASEAN market version we're familiar with.
Interestingly, European buyers are only granted with a sporty GR Sport guise option for the first time in the Corolla Cross through this latest face-lift. Notably, the new European GR Sport variant looks different from the ASEAN version, boasting looks that closely resembles the GR Corolla.
Moreover, in GR Sport guise, the 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross for Europe sits 10 MM lower whilst riding on 19-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels. It also gains gloss black logos and badges, not forgetting an exclusive new Storm Grey exterior paint option as well.

Predictably, the GR Sport variant is treated with the sportier red contrast-stitching in its cabin. Shared though is the revised base cabin layout and design, as well as the upgraded digital displays.
Moving inside, the regular 2025MY Corolla Cross for Europe sees extensive changes through a wider new centre console beaming with upgraded USB-C charging ports, wireless charging pad, and a small sliding storage box, as well as redesigned cup holders.
New here too is the infotainment touchscreen which, in this left-hand-drive (LHD) form bound for Europe, boasts 1.5 times upgraded operational speed, as well as both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity suites from the get go.
Naturally, the new GR Sport guise brings much of the same seen in the High Grade variant detailed, albeit with a sportier twist thanks to contrast red pipe-stitching, GR embroidered headrests, as well as GR paddle shifters.

Also notably different in both European models are their rolling stock. The GR Sport guise arguably has the best looking set of 19-inch Y-spoke wheels and a 10 MM lower stance.
Mechanically, the European market Corolla Cross is presented with hybrid-only 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre 4-cyl petrol powertrain options, the former outputting 140 PS and the latter boasting 197 PS instead.
The latter also gets an additional intelligent all-wheel-drive (i-AWD) setup enabled by an additional 42 PS rear e-motor. This variant also sees said i-AWD suite come brimmed with a new Snow Extra drive mode with enhanced stability and control on slippery surfaces.

Whilst the regular variant (left) only gains a new 'Snow Extra' drive mode, the GR Sport version (right) ups the ante further with an added 'Sport Mode' too.
Specific to the GR Sport guise here too is a Sport Mode. When toggled, it increases idle speed for improved throttle responses, and it also holds on to higher revs to increase engine braking abilities.
