Porsche Invested in INTAMSYS?
Porsche aims to expand its business through additive manufacturing as part of the company's strategic planning to become one of the digital mobility solution providers in the luxury car division.

In conjunction with this mission, Porshe Ventures has invested some funds in a printing company – INTAMSYS ((Intelligent Additive Manufacturing Systems), known to produce premium 3D printing with first-grade materials.
“We are excited to see that our product and vision are recognised and supported by Porsche,” says CEO of INTAMSYS, Charles Han.

INTAMSYS specialises in 3D printing from prototype to volume production. INTAMSYS aspires to accelerate breakthroughs in core technologies where it has successfully applied its products to the fields of aerospace, automotive, medical research and many more.
As the automotive industry gradually undergoes a digital transformation, 3D printing has seen rapid deployment and development.

Porsche is examining the possibilities of 3D printing technology by improving small-series parts and components to produce its line-ups. As reported, Porsche has invented a 3D printed bodyform full bucket seats and is most convenient for numerous Boxster, Cayman and 911 models.

“Digital transformation has seeped into every aspect of production and daily life and is listed as one of the core issues in Porsche’s operation strategy,” says Jens Puttfarcken, President and CEO of Porsche China.

The sports car maker believes in promoting the digitalisation of companies, especially when utilising additive manufacturing in their models.
