A Sneak Peak of Mini Electric Crossover

MINI teases its ‘Charismatic Simplicity’ as new design language for next generation of vehicles to be debut at the end of July 2022. 

The latest MINI model generation is inspired from a platform that integrated with electric powertrains from the start resulting a distinctive way to its model making of small footprint and available interior space. 

Referring to MINI Vision Urbanaut, the screen is using OLED (organic light-emitting diode) technology for the fully digital display to be pressed into a single control unit.

According to Head of MINI Design Oliver Heilmer, purely electrically powered models from MINI give a unique opportunity to rethink the design. 

At the same time, the company could retain the attention to detail, sense of tradition and passion for innovation that MINI is renowned for.

A new focus on sustainability is also applied to the new MINI. Materials such as leather and chrome trim are no longer being used. As the car marque planning to go fully advanced on digital technology, MINI might receive the round touchscreen at the cockpit area plus physical control for key functions such as toggle switches.
