CortDAO Racing W Series Team Launches NFT Initiative – To Promote More Female Racers

Women in motorsport are historically underrepresented either because there’s no opportunities for them or lack of funding.

To change women’s destiny in motorsport, CortDAO inked an agreement with W Series.

CortDAO is founded by Michael Livingston that aims to build a community-led platform to promote female racers and push more women to get involve in the male-leading industry.

Looking forward to changing the dynamic, the group launched its first-ever series of NFT’s as making more appearance to the Web3 community and expanding women’s motorsports fanbase.

The first approach has been put into operation when CortDAO launch a team with W Series as world's first free-to-enter single-seater motor racing championship for women.

With W Series Round 4 around the corner, the focus is now on releasing CortDAO's first-ever NFTs (non-fungible tokens) to secure additional investment.

On June 30th, a total of 10,000 NFTs depicting two bespoke CortDAO Racing assets - 5,000 NFTs of each design with a unique identifier from 1 to 5,000 will be issued.

CortDAO is looking to raise GBP1milion in this initial release, and in time, CortDAO will offer purchasers the opportunity to convert each NFT into a token.

Unveiled in March, the CortDAO Racing W Series Team now competes in the 2022 season of W Series and is preparing for the upcoming round at Silverstone, UK, alongside the F1 Lenovo British Grand Prix this weekend.
