UMW Toyota Motor Driving Sales Stays Rising

UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMW Toyota) announced registering sales of Toyota for the month of May is at 7,442 units, while Lexus recorded a total sale of 137 units. 

Looking at year to date sales volume, the total number of vehicles sold this year is 36,972 units which has set a hike of 9 percent in 2022 compared to previous year which had the number at 34, 026 units. 

The company also expects a further increase as they gear up for upcoming product launches. 

The company stated the rising sales performance is despite the forecast that vehicle sales in Malaysia will be sluggish for the rest of the year.  

Based on the global shortage of semiconductors, automobile producers are finding it difficult to increase their production to meet demand. 

The resumption of the sales and services tax (SST) after June 2022 will also put a damper on sales. 

However, some may want to take advantage of the pricing prior to re-implementation of the SST, and this will assist to ramp up sales.

Continuing with the monthly promotions, UMW Toyota is offering benefits worth RM4,000 to fans of the Yaris and Vios. June will also see Toyota lovers gearing up for mid-year savings as well as cash rebates and sales tax savings.
