52,340 Units Of The 2022 Chrysler And Dodge Models Recalled
![]()
Stellantis North America has issued a recall for a couple of its brands, Chrysler and Dodge, due to a tire pressure monitoring sensor problem.
The fault lies in the battery of the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), impacting up to 52,340 Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger and Charger models from the 2022 year.
Vehicles recalled:
- 5,658 Chrysler 300 sedans built between 7 September, 2021, and 9 June, 2022

- 19,345 Dodge Challenger coupes built between 23 August, 2022, and 10 June, 2022

- 27,337 Dodge Charger sedans built between 23 August, 2022, and 7 June, 2022

Notably, if this failure happens, the sensor will become inoperative and drivers may not be alerted to pressure losses in the tires.
Additionally, if a TPMS warning light is already illuminated due to the failed battery, drivers may also not be alerted to an actual tire pressure loss.

Therefore, the vehicles fail to comply with the United States’ Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 138, which relates to tire pressure monitoring systems.
To fix the problem, Chrysler and Dodge dealerships in the U.S. will inspect and replace the TPMS sensors free of charge.
That said, these respective dealerships will notify all of the affected owners through mail starting 2 September, 2022.
