The Legendary Ferruccio Lamborghini Inducted Into The Automotive Hall Of Fame

In the beginning of it all, it was the Lamborghini Trattori, the tractor company Ferruccio Lamborghini founded in 1948, then came his second in 1963, the Automobili Lamborghini.
Honouring his accomplishments with Automobili Lamborghini, on 21 July, the legendary Ferruccio Lamborghini was inducted into the Automotive Hall Of Fame.

Joining his old rival Enzo Ferrari, inducted back in 2000, a marble plaque etched with Ferruccio Lamborghini’s signature has been installed in the Hall of Honour.
Among the many milestones under his name, the main acknowledgement for his induction is his creation of the Miura and the Countach, two of Lamborghini’s most iconic models.

Dubbed as the world’s first proper supercar with its Bizzarrini-designed 385 HP 4.0-litre V12, the 1966 Miura was the first to integrate a mid-rear engine layout.
Beautifully, its low-slung fastback design has transitioned through the years from being merely stunning to becoming the stuff of legend.

Following its trail is another spectacular supercar, the 1974 Countach. Its longitudinally mounted, 375 HP 4.0-litre V12 Bizzarrini does 274 km/h and a 0 to 97 km/h in 5.6 seconds.
Considered to be ahead of its time, its sharp wedge design looked like something from the future, especially with its scissor doors and spaceship-esque rear end.

Ferruccio Lamborghini’s method was always daring, fuelled by the belief that the unexpected could be achieved by always striving to be better.
Everlasting, although he passed and went to automotive heaven in 1993, his pioneering spirit is core to the brand DNA today.
