Road Closures In Kuala Lumpur For The 65th Independence Day

Hear ye, hear ye! From 26 to 31 August 2022, 18 roads in Kuala Lumpur will be temporarily closed in conjunction with the 65th Independence Day celebration happening this Wednesday.
Therefore, for all the citizens commuting to work using personal vehicles, it’s best to start looking for other alternatives, as per usual, the streets will be used for the procession.
During the period in question, it is advisable to use public transportations throughout the city, because it is certain that extraordinary congestion will occur.

Kuala Lumpur’s Police Chief Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim, said, "The roads that will be completely closed on 26 August are Jalan Sultan Hishammuddin leading to Dataran Merdeka and Jalan Raja. Then, on 27 to 29 August, a full parade will be conducted, involving road closures in Jalan Raja, Jalan Travers, Jalan Damansara, Bulatan Hishammuddin and Jalan Kinabalu."
