In the previous week, CariCarz.com did an article on XPeng Inc.’s latest SUV, the G9, that had garnered over 20,000 per-orders before it was even launched.

Today, this article is shedding light on what the XPeng G9 has to offer, more specifically, its five most interesting features.

1. The XPeng G9 – The World’s Fastest Charging Technology

Unlike any other electric SUV, the G9 uses China's first 800-V capacity Silicon Carbide (SiC) system. This technology allows it to be charged up to 200 KM in just 5 minutes.

Of which, it means, the G9’s battery power, version 4C can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 15 minutes, while the standard 3C version, within 20 minutes.

2. The XPeng G9 – Great Performance And Range

The G9 4WD version can achieve a maximum output of 551 HP/405-KW and 717 NM. It can dash from 0 to 100 KM/H in just 3.9 seconds.

Next, it is offered with nine driving modes including Boost Mode. When this mode is activated, this EV can reach maximum torque in just 0.15 seconds.

On top of that, this e-SUV also has powerful braking capabilities because it is able to come to a halt from a speed of 100 KM/H at a distance of 35 meters.

Range-wise, the total driving distance the XPeng G9 can cover with a full charge starts from 570 KM to 702 KM.

3. The XPeng G9 – XNGP, Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS)

Featuring the industry's first full scenario driver assistance technology, the G9 is equipped with XPENG's second gen advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) called the XNGP.

For instance, the G9’s X variant uses dual NVIDIA DRIVE Orin chips that provide 508 TOPS (trillion operations per second) of computing performance.

It uses a total of 31 sensors and a front view camera to detect objects around the vehicle. Its LiDAR sensor installed can detect up to 180 degrees, thus reducing the size of the car's blind spot.

4. The XPeng G9 – Active Four-Zone Voice Assist Technology

MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology, the G9’s voice assistance system that allows it to respond to voice commands from all four cabin spaces.

More interestingly, it can understand consecutive commands received from different passengers without having to be constantly reactivated.

Plus, the active voice assistant can provide lightning-fast responses (milliseconds), and not only that, the system can control more than 600 vehicle functions.

5. The XPeng G9 - 5D Xopera Entertainment System

Lastly, with the 5D Xopera entertainment system, the G9 provides passengers with a sophisticated audio system through 18 Dynaudio Confidence speakers.

While watching movies or listening to music, the Dolby Atmos technology used provides an immersive experience.

Interestingly, one that includes changes in ambient lighting, seat vibrations, changes in the air-conditioning's coldness and changes in odours.

All in all, to recap, six variants are being offered for the G9 e-SUV, with prices starting from RMB 309,900 (MYR 199,241) to RMB 469,900 (MYR 302,108).

There are three variants for the rear-wheel-drive version (RWD), 570G, 570E and 702E, and three variants for the all-wheel-drive version (AWD), 650E, 650X and 650X Launch Edition.
