Over 20,000 Units Pre-Ordered, XPeng G9 Launching Tomorrow

Mark your calendars, tomorrow on 21 September, XPeng Inc., the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer will launch its latest SUV model, the G9.

According to XPeng, the upcoming G9 SUV will be a mass production EV with the fastest charging capability in the world.

It will underpin China's first 800-V capacity Silicon Carbide (SiC) system, which allows it to be charged up to 200 KM in just 5 minutes.

On top of that, the SUV will also come with the industry's first full-scenario advanced driver assistance system to provide drivers with the ultimate driving experience.

Namely, its cabin is equipped with the Xopera media system that offers a 5D immersive experience, and the same semi-autonomous driving system found in Tesla's Autopilot. 

Pricing-wise, it has not been announced yet, but some reports reveal that it will be sold at a price below USD 74,680 (MYR 339,756).

The G9 launch event will be streamed on Facebook and Twitter at 7 PM. The English version will be shared in a video recording after the live show.

Outstandingly, this is a highly anticipated model, as it took only 24 hours after its initial reveal was made back in August, for the G9 SUV to garner over 20,000 pre-orders.
