Powerful and iconic, a vehicle well-suited to enhance the driving experience of the locals, Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia presents the all-new Defender 90.

To begin with, the 2022 Defender 90 is the most capable Land Rover to date, all thanks to its highly-acclaimed all-terrain prowess.

Under its hood, akin to the Defender 110, offered are two ingenium engine options. The P300 four-cylinder petrol and the P400 six-cylinder MHEV petrol.

Both setups are mated to a transmission with a twin-speed transfer box, which provides a boost of speed and control to power.

Then, this three-door short-wheelbase model sports a maximum wading depth of 900 MM, and also an Electronic Air Suspension with an adjustable height configuration.

This includes an access height of 40 MM below normal ride height, to an extended height of 75 MM. A further extension of 70 MM is also available for extreme off-road conditions.

Complementing this is the Adaptive Dynamics feature that allows drivers to fine-tune their driving characteristics. 

With adaptive dampers evaluating bodily movements up to 500 times per second, this system utilises said data to optimise control and comfort instantaneously for the driver.

In addition, it gets Land Rover’s next-gen Electronic Vehicle Architecture (EVA 2.0) that supports Software-Over-The-Air (SOTA) updates, and the new Pivi Pro infotainment system.

The EVA 2.0 consists of a high-tech forward-facing digital camera, advanced ultrasonic sensors, and a powerful onboard network with a full suite of driver assistance technologies.

Of which, the latter includes a 3D Surround Camera that provides 360-degree visibility on surrounding areas, off-road and on-road, for maximum security.

Plus, the advanced camera system provides augmented on-screen visualisation when using Wade Sensing and Land Rover’s ClearSight Ground View transparent bonnet technology.

Lastly, the new model is available in five colours, and comes with 170 individual accessories, the largest range ever produced for a Land Rover.

These accessories include the innovative exterior side-mounted gear carrier that offers extra space, and a new Above and Beyond Collection of outdoor performance equipment and apparel.

Pricing-wise, the new Defender 90 tags at MYR 838,800 and MYR 1,098,800 for P300 and P400 MHEV respectively, with 10% SST, excluding road tax, registration and insurance. 

Every new purchase comes with the Land Rover Care programme, which includes a five-year warranty, a five-year free service and a three-year roadside assistance.
