Key road closures for PJ Half Marathon 2022 this Sunday, Sept 25

The PJ Half Marathon 2022 event takes place this Sunday, Sept 25, marking the landmark running event’s post-pandemic return too. With that, the event will see several key road closures in and around the vicinity of Petaling Jaya city for the 30 KM-long run.
The flag-off time for the race has been set for 4.30AM at Dataran PJ. Various road closures in the city will start from 4:00AM and should last until 12:00PM, some for the whole event, and others in stages. Both Police (PDRM) and City Hall (MBPJ) officers have been tasked on duty to manage traffic during the race too.
Starting with the slip road from Federal Highway to Jalan Timur (from KL), this will be closed from 4:00AM to 10:00AM. Alternative routes will be provided via Jalan Barat (Section 14 and Seapark bound) and Jalan 222 (PJ state bound). Take note that the Jalan Timur – Persiaran Barat stretch will also be closed until 10:00AM.
As for the event’s set up and tear down, it sees the Persiaran Barat – Jalan Timur stretch endure a partial closure from 6PMon Saturday (Sept 24) until 12:00PM on race day.

On race day, road closures in stages will last from 4.30AM to 11:00AM. This will cover almost every major road in and around PJ with either partial or full closures, and it involves the following streets:
- Jalan Timur
- Jalan Barat
- Jalan Utara
- Jalan Sultan
- Jalan Gasing
- Jalan Templer
- Jalan Harapan
- Jalan Semangat
- Jalan Kemajuan
- Jalan Universiti
Unless you’re taking part in the PJ Half Marathon 2022 in some form or way, we reckon it’s best for you to avoid any travel across PJ this Sunday.
