The all-new Peugeot EV revealed in hatchback and five-door station wagon, go on sale in mid-2023

PEUGEOT car brand has unveiled its new electrified powertrain, the 2023 Peugeot E-308 & E-308 C-Class segment in the form of Allure and GT Trim levels.
The third-gen hatchback is built with a longer front bonnet and PEUGEOT's new badge displayed in the centre of the grille which highlights the brand's flair for design.
On top of that, the fang-shaped light signature frames the Matrix LED headlamps (GT versions) at the front, seamlessly integrating the 308 and 308 SW into the PEUGEOT family, as do the three-claw LED lights at the rear. Also onboard, the new PEUGEOT E-308 and E-308 SW equipped with the latest generation of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit, which includes heated steering wheel, a programmable digital head-up display, and a central 10-inch touch screen.
PEUGEOT has prioritized cabin craftsmanship, ingenuity with fully configurable virtual i-toggles, and connectivity, including the latest i-Connect Advanced technology, an infotainment system that makes driving and traveling more intuitive and rewarding.
Both E-308 hatchback and wagon configurations were introduced as the first EV model from a European manufacturer which rides on Stellantis group EMP2 architecture featuring a new electric powertrain.

However, motor1 reported that according to Peugeot, it claims that E-308 SW is a European manufacturer's first electric waggon which technically it is not entirely true.
This is because the Porsche Taycan Sport/Cross Turismo is also a zero-emissions long-roof model. The two models join the MG5 Electric in the exclusive club of wagons without internal combustion engines.
Anyhow, under the hood, the new model is powered by an electric motor rated at 156 hp and 260 Nm of torque meanwhile its electric powertrain driven by a 54-kWh high-voltage battery, with 51 kWh usable capacity including a range of up to 248 miles (WLTP cycle). Average fuel consumption for the all-electric 308 is 12.7 kWh/100 km.
Driver also has an opt to choose his or her driving mode (ECO, NORMAL, or SPORT), and even increase deceleration when the accelerator pedal is released due to the "BRAKE" mode to optimize energy recovery.

The charging process consists of an on-board three-phase charger which comes as standard and has an output power of 11 kW. All charging modes are supported by the charging socket. Within less than 25 minutes, the vehicle charge will go from 20% to 80% from a 100kW public charging point.
Safety aspects comprises PEUGEOT E-308 and E-308 SW latest generation of driving aids such as Adaptive cruise control with Stop and Go function, long-range blind spot monitoring (75 meters) and Rear Traffic Alert, which warns of danger when reversing.

Prices have not yet been announced, but the EV is expected to start around RM 158 K (£35,000).
