MINI Cooper SE Resolute Edition
Ensuing its international debut early of this year, it has now breached our shores. MINI Malaysia presents the MINI Cooper SE Resolute Edition.
This version of the purely electrically powered model based on the MINI 3-door offers a particularly appealing blend of classic sporty flair and emission-free driving.

MINI Cooper SE Resolute Edition, Pure Electric
Performance-wise, the Resolute Edition transfers the brand’s hallmark go-kart feeling to the world of e-mobility with its e-motor that has 135-kW (181 HP) of power and 270 NM of torque.
It can dash from zero to 100 KM/H in 7.3 seconds, and has a top speed of 150 KM/H. Meanwhile, its 32.6-kWh lithium-ion battery offers up to 232 KM (WLTP) of driving range.
In terms of charging, for standard charging using an 11-kW AC charger with a Type 2 connection, it takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
Whereas, for fast charging using a 50-kW DC fast charger with a CCS2 connection, it takes just 36 minutes to get from 10% to 80% capacity.
Overall, it has a combined power consumption of 17.6 – 15.2-kWh/100 KM and CO2 emissions of zero g/KM (WLTP).

MINI Cooper SE Resolute Edition, Exterior
Exterior-wise, the Resolute Edition comes with a body finish in Rebel Green that was previously exclusive for the extremely athletic John Cooper Works models.
Then, its contrasting Pepper White finish on the roof and exterior mirror caps exudes a sporty appeal in tradition-steeped British style.
The deliberate avoidance of chrome elements around its exterior provides a look ahead to the future, which instead have been finished in exclusive Resolute Bronze.
These include the surrounds of the headlights, radiator grille and rear lights, the side scuttles on the front side panels, and the handles of the doors and tailgate.
By contrast, the surrounding strip at the lower edge of the windscreen is finished in Piano Black, as are the inner frame of the radiator grille, the brand logos and the model inscription.
Moreover, the unmistakable appearance of the Resolute Edition is further enhanced by means of bonnet stripes in an exclusive design.
Like the door sill trims, they feature a pattern made up of parallel lines with a colour gradient that runs between a light and a dark shade of gold, along with the inscription ‘RESOLUTE’.
As for the wheels, it gets 17-inch alloys in Electric Collection Spoke design. Alternatively, light alloy wheels of the same format are also available, but in the variant Tentacle Spoke Black.

MINI Cooper SE Resolute Edition, Interior
Interior-wise, the Resolute Edition is upholstered with fabric and leatherette seats in Black Pearl and Light Chequered, an anthracite-coloured roof liner, as well as black armrests and knee rolls.
Meanwhile, the sports leather steering wheel in Nappa finish bears an edition-specific Mini Resolute logo on the lower spoke.
On top of that, evenly curved lines in a light golden tone forms an exquisite pinstripe pattern on the interior surfaces, significantly, on the dashboard.
Elsewhere, it features a 12-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, and an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment with the latest gen of the MINI operating system.
Aside from supporting Apple CarPlay, the latter is optimised for quick and intuitive control of the vehicle functions, audio program, communication, navigation and apps.
Additionally, numerous digital services are also available to enhance driving fun by means of high-quality convenience and entertainment functions.

MINI Cooper SE Resolute Edition, Infotainment And Driver Assistance
Safety-wise, the Resolute Edition’s optional driver assistance package includes Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB).
Also, its Driver Assistant Plus option offers Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function. Other than that, it comes standard with Park Assist, a reverse camera and six air-bags.

MINI Cooper SE Resolute Edition
Pricing-wise, the Resolute Edition tags at MYR 197,934, on-the-road without insurance and a two-year warranty with unlimited mileage.
Notably, its price tag is MYR 12,000 higher compared to the standard MINI Cooper SE, which is selling at MYR 185,934.
That being said, with the MINI Cooper SE Resolute Edition, its traditionally designed and futuristic drive technology will offer a new electrifying fun to all Malaysians.
