TAG Heuer, a Swiss luxury watchmaker, has revealed its Connected Calibre E4 Porsche Edition smartwatch as the second design to debut after the more traditional Tag Heuer x Porsche Carrera Chronograph released last year.

Exclusivity deserves a good price, the Connected Calibre E4 Porsche Edition smartwatch costs RM11,300 as according to Tag Heuer Malaysia's official website while the rest of Connected Calibre E4 45mm variants range in price between RM8,350 to RM10,900.

A watch made for the connoisseurs, the exclusive smartwatch was created after a collaboration with German legendary car maker, Porsche which resulted in an iconic timepiece inspired by the all-electric Taycan.

To begin, Tag Heuer has incorporated the EV's frozen blue colorway into the watch featuring a 45 mm case  having its titanium case with a ceramic bezel and a sapphire front crystal along a scale from 0 to 400, which is a reference to the speed of Porsche's cars.

Apart from a flat sapphire crystal on top of its 1.39-inch OLED display with 454 x 454 resolution and a pixel density of 326ppi as standard, the smartwatch offers a water resistance rating of 50 metres along a titanium case with ''Tag Heuer x Porsche'' wording engraved to emphasize the watch's uniqueness.

TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Porsche Edition incorporated with certain features that displays the status of your Porsche such as total mileage, car battery, fuel level, remaining range, as well as the ability to quickly open the My Porsche Wear OS apps to control the heating or air conditioning in the vehicle which fit the style statement you cannot just say no to.

Also fitted into the smartwatch, it runs Google's Wear OS system other than having several sport and wellness apps including timers that highlights TAG Heuer's expertise in sports timing, including motorsports.

Before going further, the features mentioned above are only available on certain Porsche models. In addition to the Taycan, compatible vehicles include the Panamera, 911, Cayenne, Macan, and 718.

This new Porsche Edition is based on TAG Heuer's top-spec E4 generation of the Connected smartwatch and claims to have a 430mAh battery that provides all-day battery life which takes approximately 1.5 hours to fully charge the smartwatch powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear processor.

Interestingly, the watch face was inspired by printed circuit boards and racing circuits that provides an animated visual effect which links Porsche cars as well as TAG Heuer watches with a sense of technology and speed.

“This watch evokes many of the passions that we share – high performance, technological innovation and our love for unique and unmatched products’” as CEO of TAG Heuer, Frédéric Arnault stated.
