New Audi A3 S-Line Launched Looking Beefier Then Ever
-full.jpg)
Audi’s Malaysian distributor, PHS Automotive Malaysia (PHSAM) recently launched the second generation Audi A3 S-Line for the Malaysian market. The luxury compact sedan is poised to redefine the compact luxury market with its new design language and advanced technologies, promising and even more engaging driving experience compared to its predecessor.
The new A3, is undeniably more beefed up with pronounced muscular design que with a large Singleframe honeycomb front grille dominating the front facia flanked by a pair of striking full LED headlights. Its bodylines flow effortlessly from the front to the rear bumper portraying a high level of elegance while being sporty with pronounced bulging fenders on all four ends.
As for the rooflines, Audi opted to slope down the lines beginning from the B-pillar to give the Audi a coupe-like presence. As much as we love this, we do hope rear passenger head room is not affected much in the name of aesthetics. It is further said that the overall streamlined body paired with a higher rear end and a large diffuser played a crucial part in reducing drag coefficient which aided in the A3’s C02 emissions and fuel efficiency.

On the cooling front, the A3’s Singleframe hides two electrically modulated louvres to control the cooling air inlet which intelligently regulates the air inlet based on real time driving conditions. The vehicles panelled underbody and exterior mirrors too play an important part in aiding aerodynamics and the active brake cooling ducts does help reduce air resistance.
Step inside the new A3 and you will be greeted to a very driver centric dash design featuring strong angular lines. Audi calls this its intuitively to keep all important information displayed in the drivers line of sight. Also present are the new Audi virtual cockpit plus and 10.1-inch MMI touch colour display. To add further, the cockpit features a clean well designed leather steering wheel hosting an array of multi-function options while the S-tronic transmission oozes confidence while providing ease of control and great driving comfort for the driver.

This second-gen Audi A3 is fitted with the latest third-generation modular infotainment platform (MIB 3) which boasts a computing power ten times greater than that of its predecessor. This infotainment system provides easy access to smartphone connection via the Audi smartphone interface either for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Take this compact out for a spin, and for one you will be glad of Audi’s signature driving feel which is now tuned to be even more sportier. The overall steering response works harmoniously, allowing for faster reaction speeds and increased precision during hard cornering. Contributing to this is the latest central dynamic handling system which ensures optimal interaction between all driveline components for better dynamics.
Sold on the idea of a A3 S-Line Sedan for your next ride, this 2.0-litre 187 BHP front wheel drive compact is offered in eight colour options namely Turbo Blue, Ibis White, Glacier White, Mythos Black, Navarra Blue, Python Yellow, Tango Red and Daytona Grey. As for the price, a steep RM331,990.00 which is easily at least RM50,000 more than offerings from its other direct competitors. All Audi models would come standard with 3 years free maintenance, 5 years unlimited mileage warranty and 5 years roadside assistance.
