Pro-Net Launches smart Malaysia Facebook Page To Engage Local Consumers
-full.jpg)
Finally now when you search for a local smart Facebook site, you will actually get a proper hit. Proton New Energy Technology (Pro-Net) the official distributor for smart vehicles in Malaysia and Thailand has just launched the smart brands Facebook page on 28 October 2022.
The smart brand, in case you are still in the dark, is now co-owned by Geely and Mercedes Benz, making Proton’s Pro-Net the ideal distribution partner for this region. Think maximising resources for a synergised growth.
During the Pro-Net distribution announcement, CEO of PROTON, Dr Li Chunrong had mentioned it was a new beginning for the company's new energy journey but plans are in place to forge forward leading to more developments in the months and years ahead. Pro-Net’s very first offering world be the much awaited smart #1 that would go on sale by Q4 2023.

With the plans to introduce more new energy vehicle (NEV) offerings to the nation, Pro-Net had recently signed a MOU with Gentari, a clean energy subsidiary of PETRONAS to work on offering its customers a more comprehensive charging solution.
As of the the piece was put together, the smart Malaysia Facebook page had garnered 247 likes and 431 followers. There has so far only been one posting aside the company logo which reads,
“Greetings and welcome to smart Malaysia's Official Page.
Our community is an invitation to everyone to connect and have open discussions about the future of electric mobility. You can also get in touch with smart owners in Malaysia and like-minded fans while learning more about our brand.
We will be posting exclusive content about our products and their features and igniting discussions on topics about the future of urban mobility while delivering exclusive insights from the world of smart.
So, please like and follow our page, start sharing your stories, opinions and experiences about smart with the community, and stay tuned as we undertake the EV journey together.”

Looks like Pro-Net is starting early on Q4 2022 to gain a good following of engaging potential customers in preparation for the smart #1’s Q4 2023 arrival. They have promised more exclusive content and would appreciate user engagement as this NEV journey is something entirely new and opinions and suggestions chipped in would help the growth of the entire ecosystem.

So far based on the single post shared, we see 14 comments and 36 shares gained organically. Bulk of the comment are related to the potential selling price which is speculated to be as low as RM150K up to RM220K. A follower also commented on the expansion of the charging infrastructure which is where the MOU with GENTARI comes into the picture. Not to be missed our favourite comment calling to bring in the BRABUS smart #1 which we totally are rooting for although it most probably would be far fetched.
