The first autonomous electric vehicle (AV) introduced in Indonesia within the BSD City area

Previously Sinar Mas Land and Mitsubishi Corporation together with MACNICA implemented the first-stage trial of Navya Autonom Shuttle AV at QBig BSD City. The collaboration then continued to BSD Green Office Park (GOP) area on August 25, 2022, to January 5, 2023.
With this technology implemented into the AV, it marked the green vision of the GOP area which is the first in Indonesia to be certified as Green Mark District from the Building Construction Authority (BCA) Singapore.
Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi expressed his wishes at the inauguration of the AV to see the latest technological innovation being exhibited at the G20 Summit which will be held soon in the upcoming November.

The Navya Autonom Shuttle consists of an electric drive and battery pack with a capacity of 33 kWh which could last for 9 hours. More than that, the AV could fit 15 people, 11 sitting, and 4 standing.
Other features include a variety of sensors ranging from the use of GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems), and LIDAR (Light Radar) sensors combined with a high-resolution camera for big data analysis, which will then be processed by a high specification computer embedded in each bus.
Aside from the AV could detect, track, and classify surrounding obstacles during real time situations, it could also determine the optimal trajectory and speed profile, including accelerating, steering, and braking autonomously.

‘’We saw that this AV innovation comes with features that are smart technology, besides that this smart transportation sets an alternative to new transportation modes to serve people's mobility,’’ said Chief Digital Tech Ecosystem & Development Sinar Mas Land, Irawan Harahap.
‘’The sophistication of the features given by this AV also reflects the lifestyle that we want to present in BSD City in its transformation into a smart integrated digital city, especially in the Digital Hub ecosystem which is full of digital technology activities’’ he added.
