The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has effectively detected a fraud syndicate, which offers driving licences without having to take proper classes.
A total of 20 cases have been received since 2017 until yesterday, said the Senior Director of JPJ Enforcement, Datuk Lokman Jamaan.
According to him, the culprits behind the scam use social media as an outlet, namely Facebook, Telegram and WeChat.
Plus, they are said to be very sly as after getting a few responses, the fake accounts used will be deleted within two or three days.
"After that, the syndicate will open a new account, which is believed to avoid their activities from being detected by the authorities," he said.
In short, the public is reminded not to be easily influenced by any form of driver's license offer that does not follow the procedures, rules and laws outlined by JPJ.
